  • The University of Adelaide North Terrace Adelaide, SA, 5000 Australia (map)

This course provides an introduction to Australia's Indigenous languages with a particular focus on the Kaurna language of the Adelaide Plains, South Australia.

We will learn how to read, pronounce and spell Aboriginal words. We will learn some basic words and expressions in Kaurna; learn how to introduce ourselves, family and friends.

We will develop understandings of the structure and function of Kaurna within the bigger picture of Australian Indigenous languages more generally.
